SCHEDULE:        Mon Thu: 8am - 4:15pm

                          Fri: 8am - 3pm




Under the direction of the Director of Residential Services, the Behavior Intervention Coordinator assists in ensuring the agency's behavior support services are in compliance with federal, state and corporate compliance regulations.  This position conducts Functional Behavior Analyses (FBAs) and develops, presents to the human rights committee, and trains on Behavior Support Plans as required.  Additionally, this position supports and assists the Crisis Intervention Specialist and collaborates with the Licensed Clinical Team and provides on-site training, coaching and modeling.  This position functions as an agency resource for Behavior Theory and Intervention.





  • Develops, and monitors Behavior Support Plans
  • Develops and monitors behavior data tracking
  • Reviews documentation of restrictive interventions
  • Develops behavior support procedures and forms
  • Supports and assists the Crisis Intervention Specialist
  • Identifies and provides needed education and training
  • Instructs agency trainings specific to support plans
  • Provides on-site training, coaching and modeling.
  • Obtains certification to train OPWDD regulated crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution strategies
  • Provides on-site training and support for behavioral interventions with focus on positive and proactive measures
  • Regularly reviews progress on Behavior Support Plans and makes amendments as required





  • Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Social Worker
  • Documented training in assessment techniques and behavior support plan development
  • A minimum of 12 months of related experience is required.
